A Play Cafe with a Mission

The Children's Piazza is a play-cafe with a mission to promote healthy brain development in young children and support the emotional health of their caregivers, with access for all. 

About us:
We have been serving the North Shore since 2014, and as a non-profit organization (incorporated as Community Play Workshop Inc) since 2023.

Our play space is especially designed for young children to learn through self-directed play. Activities are geared toward optimizing social, cognitive, speech and motor development. Weekly enrichment programming provides opportunities for introductions to early education and school-readiness concepts.

The Piazza was created for caregivers as much as it was created for kids!

Cleanliness, hospitality, an open floorplan, snacks and lunch options, and most importantly COFFEE. We are committed to creating the most stress-free experience possible because parenting little ones is as demanding a job as it is important! This includes providing essential resources relevant to both supporting early childhood development and self-care for adults—which makes us better caregivers.

Our foremost commitment is to the mental health of all our visitors, because neuroscience confirms that consistent loving connections are essential to healthy brain development, learning and resiliency.
