Chamber Launches New Business Lab Series with Financial Planning Webinar for Business Owners
Peabody MA August 11, 2026 — The Peabody Area Chamber is introducing a new educational initiative designed to connect local business owners with the expertise of fellow chamber members. The Chamber Business Lab is a member-led learning series featuring practical, business-focused discussions on topics that matter most to entrepreneurs, employers, and community leaders.

The inaugural Chamber Business Lab session, "Navigating Business Tailwinds and Headwinds: A Financial Perspective," will be held Thursday, September 24, from Noon to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom.

Presented by Benjamin Filmore, ChFC, APMA of Skyeburst Wealth Management and Anna Ortiz, CPA of T&O Strategic Advisory, this informative session will explore the financial forces that can either accelerate or hinder a business owner's long-term success. Together, the presenters will offer practical guidance on making informed financial decisions throughout both the wealth-building and retirement planning stages of business ownership.
     
Participants will learn:

  • How market volatility and time horizons can become opportunities with the right strategy
  • Why proactive tax planning and accurate bookkeeping are essential to sound financial decision-making
  • How to use financial data to identify potential business challenges before they become larger problems
  • Practical ways to align day-to-day business decisions with long-term financial and retirement goals
Whether business owners are focused on growth, succession planning, or preparing for retirement, this session will provide valuable insights and actionable strategies to help them navigate today's financial landscape with greater confidence.
