PACC Scholarship Applications Now Available

Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce Announces Scholarships
for High School Seniors Pursuing Business or STEAM Fields

January 19, 2024– The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the launch of its annual scholarship program, offering two scholarships worth $3500 each to exceptional high school seniors. The scholarships are designed to support students with aspirations of pursuing a degree in a business related field or STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) related field.  Students pursuing higher education in the medical field are also eligible.

Eligible candidates for the scholarships include residents of Peabody, as well as children of chamber members and students employed at a chamber member business (regardless of where they reside). The Peabody Area Chamber values education and is dedicated to investing in the future leaders of our community.

One distinctive feature of our scholarship program is the emphasis on activities or experiences that support or enhance the student's chosen field of study. We are actively seeking students of all abilities who have demonstrated commitment and passion beyond the classroom, showcasing achievements or experiences in the workplace, entrepreneurial activities, DECA projects, or community involvement related to their chosen course of study, that have helped shape their future plans.

The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce encourages all eligible high school seniors to apply for this exciting opportunity. Applications can be found on our website and must be submitted by April 5, 2024.

Eligible scholarship recipients will be required to participate in an a short interview with the selection committee, to provide an opportunity to demonstrate other skills/talents not covered by the transcript or essay.

Funds raised for the scholarship program are made possible through the generous support of local businesses. These businesses actively participate in or sponsor the annual Torigian Golf Classic, a premier event in our community, co-hosted by the Peabody Area Chamber and Rotary Club of Peabody. This year, the Torigian Golf Classic is scheduled to take place on June 10th at the picturesque Meadow in Peabody. The success of this event not only fosters a sense of camaraderie among local businesses but also directly contributes to the scholarship fund, enabling us to provide meaningful financial support to develop our future workforce.
