Tell us a little bit about your company, profession or service?
Ruggiero Family Memorial Home is a full service funeral, cremation and memorial service provider owned and operated by Joseph (Joe) and Cathryn (Catie) Ruggiero with the support of company founder Joseph (Joe Sr.). We have opened up a new location in the heart of Peabody with the goal of servicing the Peabody and greater North Shore communities.
Ruggiero Family Memorial Home prides itself on personalized services to fit the unique needs of every family that calls on us. Our facility is designed to serve one family at a time and provide them with the space they need while also giving them an intimate home-like feel to their loved ones service. With decades of experience, we pride ourselves on compassionate personalized care from our family to your family.

What led to your choice of profession, career or starting this business?
Over the years we saw the funeral service industry rapidly turn into a corporate model. We wanted to bring the family to family touch back into the celebration of those we have lost.
What do you do that is different from your competitors?
At Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, it is truly our family serving your family. Even the members of our team that are not blood related have been members of our extended family for decades. Childhood friends, former little leaguers, former youth sports coaches. This positions our team in a way to provide services that truly make it family to family.

Is there a non profit organization you feel passionate about? Tell us why and how you support them either personally or professionally?
We believe it is our responsibility as a good business in the community to give back to various non profit organizations. Several members of our team are on the board of various non-profit organizations. Youth programming, Veterans Services and Substance Use Disorder Support Organizations are some of the groups we are passionate about.

Ruggiero Family Memorial Home embraces the diversity of the communities we serve. We realize that remembering loved ones is often deeply personal as well as uniquely reflective of our culture and heritage. Understanding and appreciating this allows us to truly create unique personalized services of every family that calls upon us.
What is something that not many people know about you personally?
We have Peabody roots. Our founder, Joe Sr., was on the Peabody American Little League Board for many years. Joe Jr. played for Peabody American Little League and went to the Carroll School.
