Tell us about your organization:
Institution for Savings, founded in 1820, is one of the largest mutual savings banks on the North Shore and third oldest in the country. Headquartered in Newburyport, the Bank has 15 full-service offices, with its 16th office scheduled to open at 12 Peabody Square in late 2023.  The Bank’s vision is to have a positive effect on every person, business and organization in the communities its serves and it stays true to that vision every day, last year giving back more than $2 million to local non-profits.

As the manager of the future Peabody office, I strive every day to help our personal and business customers with their banking needs, providing them with the one-on-one service and attention they need to be financially successful!

What led you to this profession?
In 2008, while working in sales and not feeling professionally fulfilled, a family member guided me towards a career in banking, and I haven't looked back. I find this line of work very rewarding, as it allows me to be fully established within the community, where I can help make a difference.

What do you do that is different from your competitors?
What sets the Institution for Savings apart from our competitors is our products, our service and our incredible generosity to the communities we serve.  The team that I work with every day is the best in the business. From teller to customer service representative to lender to president/CEO, IFS employees go above and beyond every day to help customers. There is a reason we have been named a Boston Globe Top Place to Work for 15 straight years! Pair that with our great rates, and that's what sets us apart.

What would your clients say about your or your company?
Customers are always complimenting the Bank for its incredible employees and philanthropic spirit. I am always proud when a customer compliments me on our service and attention to detail and I tell them that excellence and service is part of everything we do here at the Institution for Savings.

Is there a non profit organization that you are passionate about?  Tell us why.
My personal passion lies with helping others, so I love working with all of our local non-profits.  Haven from Hunger is a personal favorite and an organization I am truly passionate about. I love working with Citizens Inn – HFH. Whether it's serving meals, building rolling-racks, or donating needed clothing and supplies, my family loves to volunteer whenever we can. The Institution for Savings also recognizes the vastly important work the Haven does and recently donated $400,000 to support its services.

Is there anything else you like to share about you or your organization?
I truly love working with our customers every day. Every customer has different needs and a different story, and it is so important to me to help them choose the right products and services that will make them successful. I also love the Bank’s financial education programs and look forward to bringing them to Peabody! I am proud to work for a Bank that gives so much back to our communities and puts customers, employees and communities above all else.

What is something that not many people know about you personally?
I’ve cooked for rockstars, Olympians and even a Crown Prince!
