Description
We’re switching things up for August’s Coffee Talks and taking our networking on the road!
In collaboration with the Salem Chamber of Commerce and North Shore CDC, we invite you to join us at Casa de Abuela—a one-of-a-kind cultural and artistic experience in the heart of the Point neighborhood in Salem.
Casa de Abuela (Grandma’s House) is more than just an art installation—it’s a heartfelt project designed to connect with the immigrant community through storytelling, shared space, and tradition. You’ll explore a replica of a typical Dominican country house, complete with a pop-up bodega reminiscent of a convenience store in the Dominican Republic.
Come for the coffee, stay for the culture, and make meaningful connections with fellow professionals from across the region. You’ve never seen Coffee Talks like this before!
Following the event, enjoy a guided, walking tour of the Punto Urban Art Museum which amplifies residents’ voices, engenders community pride, and bridges communities as well as deep cultural legacy of The Point “El Punto” neighborhood. The museum features over 75 murals - we've included a few images below.
