The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives of businesses and organizations throughout the community. This diverse group of volunteers brings a wealth of business and leadership experience to promote, build, and support the most effective business climate for our members.

Annually, a nominating committee identifies and selects candidates for open positions ensuring representation of membership and needs of the PACC. Michael Murray, AIF®

Michael P Murray, AIF®, President of Peabody Wealth Advisors, is focused on providing risk management and wealth management strategies and superior client service for his financial planning clients. Mike is also passionate about giving back to the local communities that help support Peabody Wealth Advisors. He currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce. Mike also donates his time to the support of many local initiatives such as the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (Yea!) Peabody, Northeast Arc and North Shore Community Action Programs (NSCAP). These opportunities provide him the chance to share his expertise and insight in the service of others.

Teresa Reade is the principle and founder of Reade Law Firm, PC. Teresa focuses her practice exclusively to issues relating to Family and Divorce Law, including custody and parenting plans, child support and alimony, property division issues including high asset divorces, prenuptial agreements and restraining orders. Teresa acts as appointed counsel for children through the Attorney's Representing Children (ARC) program and acts as a Guardian Ad Litem.

Corey Jackson, Executive Director of Citizens Inn, Inc., has been involved with community related causes since childhood, when a family friend, Mary Jane Lee, founded Citizens Inn in response to a neighbor finding herself with nowhere to live. Mary Jane Lee and founding board members, including Corey’s father, Bill Jackson, built the first Inn Between on Main Street in Peabody. In 2010, Corey became actively involved as a trustee for the organization alongside his father. In 2013, Corey became executive director. Corey is currently on the boards of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Peabody.

Matt Genzale is a graduate of Boston University and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Matt has more than 18 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. In 2011 Matt started MRG Construction Management, a commercial construction management and general contracting firm specializing in retail, restaurant, commercial and educational projects throughout New England. Matt is an avid community supporter; acting as Treasurer of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of Peabody Main Streets, Co-Chair of the Peabody Main Streets Economic Vitality Committee, Board Member of AAAI and member of the Peabody Planning Board. Matt lives in Peabody with his wife Courtney and two sons.

Boston Children's at Peabody
Nicolas is the Director of Boston Children's Hospital Satellite Business Processes & Administrator of Boston Children's at Peabody. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from University of New Hampshire and an MBA and an MS in Leadership with a HR concentration from Southern New Hampshire University. As well as serving on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross of Northeast MA since 2016, he also serves on the Board of Directors for the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors for Express Yourself, a program that brings creative arts programs to youth in residential and outpatient treatment facilities.
Enterprise Center at Salem State University
Laura Swanson is the Executive Director of the Enterprise Center at Salem State University. The Center offers a broad cross section of business programs to support entrepreneurs, as well as small and medium sized business that are growing on the North Shore. As Executive Director Ms. Swanson is responsible for over 100 business programs offered by the Center, each year, as well as the management of the Center’s 53,000 sq. ft. building that houses approximately 40 tenants. She works closely with Salem State University and its entrepreneurship programs for students and manages the work of the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development.She has been with the Enterprise Center since 2008 and previously served as its Chief Operating Officer.

Dan Sencabaugh, a partner of Hurwitz, Richard & Sencabaugh LLP, is a graduate of Tufts University and Suffolk University Law School. A member of the bars of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Dan’s practice focuses on civil litigation, construction law and real estate. He represents corporations and individuals in court, arbitration, mediation, and before administrative agencies. Representative clients include general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, owners and developers, as well as hospitality and retail industry entities. Dan has been featured in Boston Magazine and by New England Super Lawyers as a Massachusetts Rising Star in the field of construction litigation, an honor that recognizes the top 2.5 percent of attorneys 40 years old and under or in practice for 10 years or less. Dan also serves on the City of Peabody Zoning Board of Appeals.

Liz is the Vice President/Retail Sales Manager at North Shore Bank. In her responsibilities, Liz oversees the bank’s 12 locations that stretch from Saugus, MA to Newton, NH including those in Peabody Square, West Peabody and at the Corporate office at 248 Andover Street, Peabody. As Peabody’s local community bank for over 130 years, its Liz’s responsibility to insure that the branches provide bank customers with the service that is “well north of expectations” and to offer advice for solutions that would benefit those customer in meeting their financial goals.

A graduate of Salem State College, Brian obtained his B.S. in Political Science. Brian earned a Certificate in Financial Planning from Boston University before earning the CFP® certification. He provides an independent and comprehensive planning experience for his clients by addressing such key areas as wealth management, risk management, tax planning and estate planning. He was appointed to Peabody’s Community Development Authority in 2017 by Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt and serves on the Board of Overseers at Salem State University, Board of Directors for Citizens Inn, and volunteers his time as a Peabody Youth Soccer and Lacrosse Coach. Brian lives in Peabody with his wife and two daughters.

He began his journalism career as a Gloucester intern in 1992 and has since held several positions in the company, including waterfront reporter, education reporter, business columnist, city editor and Statehouse bureau chief. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, he has won several regional and national journalism awards, most recently the Allan B. Rogers Award for distinguished editorial writing from the New England Newspaper and Press Association. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Northeast Massachusetts chapter of the American Red Cross, and is incoming president of the Beverly Rotary Club. He lives in Beverly with his wife, Deborah.

Marissa Szabo is a certified health coach and the owner of Well & Simple Health Coaching and Workplace Wellness. Her passion for health and wellness was sparked by the health and weight struggles she grew up with personally and in her family. She founded Well & Simple to help clients reach their health goals through practical, sustainable changes in their daily lives. Marissa has a Bachelor's from Smith College and a dual certificate in health coaching from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute. She currently resides in Beverly with her fiancee, Aaren, and their cat, Denali. In addition to her work with the Chamber, she is also an active volunteer with the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massaschuetss and the NextGen Network.
