The Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce is governed by a board of directors made up of representatives of businesses and organizations throughout the community. This diverse group brings a wealth of business and leadership experience to promote, build, and support the most effective business climate for our members. Annually, a Nominating Committee identifies and selects candidates for open positions ensuring representation of membership and needs of the PACC. Board members are elected for a 3 year term, serving a maximum of 2 terms.

Laura Swanson is the Executive Director of the Enterprise Center at Salem State University.  The Center offers a broad cross section of business programs to support entrepreneurs, as well as small and medium sized business that are growing on the North Shore. As Executive Director Ms. Swanson is responsible for over 100 business programs offered by the Center, each year, as well as the management of the Center’s 53,000 sq. ft. building that houses approximately 40 tenants. She works closely with Salem State University and its entrepreneurship programs for students and manages the work of the North Shore Alliance for Economic Development.She has been with the Enterprise Center since 2008 and previously served as its Chief Operating Officer.
