Description
Join us for the 88th PACC Annual Dinner & Awards Celebration on Thursday, November 14th at the Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton.
This event is a special occasion for celebration, inspiring speeches and professional networking. It is also an opportunity to celebrate and welcome our 2019/2020 Board of Directors, network with leaders in the community, meet new contacts for your organization and entertain existing clients.
Just Announced
PACC is pleased to announce our Annual Dinner keynote speaker, Jo Ann Simons, CEO of Northeast Arc. Simons was the 2018 Person of the Year: Swampscott for her dedication to a community of individuals once hidden away, those with physical and intellectual disabilities. Northeast Arc is an organization that helps people with disabilities become full participants in the communities north of Boston while also providing support for their families. It was a resource for her when her son Jonathan was born with Down Syndrome 40 years ago. She worked for the Danvers based nonprofit in the 1980s, establishing a family support division and then went on to work in state government and hold two CEO roles for two other organizations that work with children and adults with disabilities, Communitas and Cardinal Cushing Centers. Simons came "full circle" when accepting the position as President and CEO of Northeast Arc. She will share her thoughts on the importance of community partnerships such as the relationship the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce, it's members and the City of Peabody have with the Northeast Arc, Breaking Grounds and The Black Box Theater.
Jo Ann Simons lives in Swampscott with her husband of 42 years, Chet. The couple also has a daughter, Emily Derr, 35, and two grandchildren. She is a Wheaton College graduate and has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut.
This year we will be recognizing Mary Bellavance, a member of the Chamber Community who has shown outstanding engagement and participation in the city of Peabody for over 30 years. She will be presented with the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Leader Award
We are excited to announce that we will be treated to a special performance by Natalja Sticco, Mezzo-Soprano from the Corsara Artists!
